The Sixth Transitory Provincial Prosecutor's Office for Asset Forfeiture in Lima managed to execute the precautionary measures of inhibition and seizure of three properties belonging to former President Pedro Pablo Kuczynski (2016-2018) for the purposes of domain forfeiture proceedings, it was reported on Thursday.

The procedure was led by Provincial Prosecutor Renzo Cayro Armejo, who in his request indicated that said properties, located in Lima's San Isidro and Cieneguilla districts, would be linked to the crime of money laundering.

The document indicated that those assets would have been acquired using money from illicit activities associated with the crimes against public administration —within the framework of criminal organization, in the Camisea (TGP), Olmos, and Interoceanica Sur (Southern Interoceanic Highway) projects.

Said properties were acquired by the marital partnership (composed of Pedro Pablo Kuczynski Godard and his wife, Nancy Ann Lange) and by Dorado Asset Management Ltd. in 2005, 2006, and 2007.

Due to the execution of this measure, two properties are now managed by the National Seized Assets Program (Pronabi), while there is an inhibition mandate on the third property.

Kuczynski became President of the Republic in July 2016. PPK was expected to lead the country for a five-year term. However, he resigned amid a political scandal in March 2018.
