Peru: President presents 3,500 police agents for Lima's security

The President of the Republic Dina Boluarte on Wednesday participated in the ceremony to present 3,500 police agents, who will join the strengthening of citizen security in the Peruvian capital, Lima.

The event took place at the Interior Ministry headquarters.

Last Tuesday, within the framework of the installation of the "Con Punche Regional" program in Metropolitan Lima, the Head of State announced various measures to combat citizen insecurity.

Similarly, the top official stated that more resources will be provided to Peruvian National Police and municipal police agents. 

The President affirmed that delinquency and criminality must be tackled as a whole. Therefore, in merit of the agreement signed with the Municipality of Metropolitan Lima, the Peruvian National Police will receive 2,000 new motorcycles to intensify patrolling activities in the capital city.
