President Martin Vizcarra on Monday announced he has ordered an assessment of the Oxapampa Airport construction in order to
of this province.
During his work visit to the area, the Head of State indicated a professional technical team —including Transport-Communications Ministry and State-run Peruvian Corporation of Airports and Commercial Aviation (Corpac) officials— will be in charge of the evaluation.
The statesman went on to add three potential areas for the airport have been identified, which will have to be assessed by the experts.
"If we get the land with the technical study, if we achieve the cleanup together, with governors and mayors, I commit to providing the corresponding financing for the airport's construction," he expressed.
On the other hand, President Vizcarra noted transit between
Lima and Oxapampa has been reestablished thanks to the joint efforts undertaken by local, regional, and national governments, despite the inclement weather.
In this sense, this achievement will enable tourists to visit this area during Holy Week holidays.
