President Martin Vizcarra on Friday attended the ceremony to commemorate Lima's 484th foundation anniversary.
The Head of State participated in the raising of the national and city flags.
On the occasion, he was joined by
Lima Mayor Jorge Muñoz. Both authorities paid homage to the Inca Cacique Taulichusco.
Lima was founded on January 18, 1535, by Spanish conquistador Francisco Pizarro, who arrived in the Andean territory attracted by riches and treasure-related stories.
