The
on Saturday announced that public work contracts will be reviewed at ministries. Thus, he summoned commissioned companies to complete the corresponding execution within the established period.
"We will review the contracts for all public works that the country has (signed), at all ministries; we will set a deadline for their completion. If they (companies) do not do so, the government will execute them (those works) to deliver them directly to the people,"
he expressed from Yanahuanca's Main Square.
The Head of State affirmed that the people can no longer bear the delays in public works linked to public roads or sanitation, adding that there will be no more extension.
As an example, the top official mentioned the Oyon-Ambo Highway in Daniel Alcides Carrion province, whose works had already been extended for four years.
In this sense, he urged Congress of the Republic to prioritize in its agenda the bills that help improve population's quality of life in Peruvian regions.
Likewise, Mr. Castillo reiterated his open call to those authorities who agree to work for the country at the three government levels.
"Peru has just completed a democratic event to elect new mayors and governors. We hope that the authorities elected by the people are up to the task of developing public works without stealing and that they generate jobs," he said.
Similarly, the President confirmed that his administration will continue boosting the Second Agrarian Reform "whatever it costs," adding that it will be allocated the budget that corresponds to family farming.
Therefore, he called on all professionals nationwide to join the working teams at ministries, where —he said— a purge will be carried out to remove those who do not enable work to be done and do not allow Peru to develop.
