Peru: PM meets with South Korea's Ambassador

Prime Minister Ernesto Alvarez on Thursday received a visit from the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea, Choi Jong-uk, reaffirming the bilateral relations between the two nations.

"Both authorities highlighted the importance of continuing to strengthen political dialogue, cooperation, trade, and investment for the benefit of both countries," the Presidency of the Council of Ministers (PCM) reported via social media.

The PCM also noted that this meeting represents progress in the strategic partnership between Peru and South Korea.


"A strategic partnership moving forward! Prime Minister Ernesto Alvarez Miranda received Ambassador Choi Jong-uk of the Republic of Korea, reaffirming the strong state of bilateral relations and the status of comprehensive strategic partners," it indicated.

Diplomatic relations between the Republic of Korea and the Republic of Peru were established in 1963 and have since developed into a solid relationship of friendship and cooperation.
