Peruvian Prime Minister Alberto Otarola held a meeting with parliamentarians of Fuerza Popular (Popular Force) party on Thursday.

This event took place at the headquarters of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers in Lima —within the framework of dialogue rounds convened by the Cabinet Chief with a view to requesting a confidence vote from legislators.

The meeting was attended by members of said parliamentary group.

Congress Deputy Chairwoman Martha Moyano was even present at the event, as were the heads of various ordinary commissions.

Once the meeting was over, Fuerza Popular parliamentary group spokesperson, Congresswoman Patricia Juarez, announced that the party will grant a confidence vote to the Ministerial Cabinet.

Prime Minister Otarola is expected to meet with Accion Popular (Popular Action) parliamentary group members this evening.

The Cabinet chief began the rounds of dialogue on December 29, 2022, meeting with legislators of Somos Peru (We are Peru) party.

The high-ranking official will go to Congress on Tuesday, January 10, joined by the Ministerial Cabinet in order to request a confidence vote.

During a Congress' plenary session, he will present the Government's policy, which is based on the following axes: education, fight against corruption, as well as the need to unlock investment projects and generate confidence among economic actors.
