The Judiciary has ordered the seizure of three properties owned by former Minister Javier Reategui —within the framework of the judicial proceedings over the alleged illegal contributions made by Brazilian company Odebrecht to Alejandro Toledo's presidential campaign in 2011.

The properties are made up of one apartment and one parking lot located in Lima's Miraflores district, plus a commercial office in Santiago de Surco district —also in the capital city.

The measure in the form of registration was ordered by Seventh National Preparatory Investigation Court Judge Jorge Chavez.

This must be applied for an amount up to S/467,000 (about US$125,000), according to the resolution issued by said instance attached to the National Superior Court of Specialized Justice.

This was motivated by a request from the ad hoc Prosecutor's Office in charge of the Lava Jato case. It was declared well founded by Judge Chavez.

According to the prosecutorial complaint, Peru Posible (Possible Peru party) would have received US$700,000 from construction company Odebrecht to finance the campaign of Alejandro Toledo, who ran for President of the Republic in 2011. Previously, he was Head of State between 2001 and 2006.

According to the testimony of said company's executive Jorge Barata, this money would have been directed to Abraham Dan On, former security head at the Government Palace. Currently, Dan On is a fugitive from Peruvian justice.
