Peruvian Prime Minister Gustavo Adrianzen presented the Government General Policy before lawmakers at a Congress plenary session on Wednesday.

It is made up of nine axes, as well as the main measures required by the government administration —as part of the confidence vote requested to Parliament.

The Government General Policy —approved by the Council of Ministers— represents the axes that will guide the Executive Branch priorities during Prime Minister Adrianzen's term leading the Council of Ministers.

According to the Cabinet chief, the Government General Policy axes are interrelated and consistent with the political framework and plans for the country.

Below are the nine axes:

Economic reactivation.
Fight against corruption; public order-security; and national sovereignty defense.
Good school year featuring learning recovery.
Health as a human right.
More infrastructure and services for better quality of life.
Agreement and national dialogue.
Boost to the development of regions.
Social peace and governability.
Social protection towards development.

According to Peru's Political Constitution, the Prime Minister must present the Government General Policy to Congress and the main measures required by the government administration, within 30 days after having taken office.

During his presentation, Adrianzen said one of the characteristic of this renewed Ministerial Cabinet is its high level of professionalism and commitment to national interests.

"Besides, this Cabinet represent the convergence and unity of political forces that believe in democracy, in the full validity of the rule of law, and the supremacy of the Constitution," he stated.

Adrianzen also said the Ministerial Cabinet will have a close and permanent communication with Congress.
