Foreign Affairs Minister Cesar Landa met with his Finnish counterpart Pekka Haavisto on Tuesday, within the framework of the World Economic Forum's (WEF) Annual Meeting currently underway in the city of Davos.

During the meeting, both authorities evaluated ways to further strengthen cooperation between Peru and Finland, the Peruvian Mission in Geneva reported.

Diplomatic relations between the two countries will turn 60 years old in 2023.

Previously, the Peruvian Minister met with the Deputy Prime-Minister of Vietnam, Lee Van Thang, in order to review the good bilateral relations and seek ways to deepen them.

Every year, the WEF Annual Meeting or 'Davos Forum' becomes the global platform where leaders of governments, companies, international organizations, civil society, and academics meet to address critical issues for the world.

The main objectives of Peruvian participation in this event are: to position Peru as a leading player in the exploration of solutions to common global and regional problems; in the search for new forms of collaboration and convergence in areas of joint work with the WEF and the various actors involved.

Similarly, it aims to develop alliances with the private sector and other stakeholders for inclusive, supportive, and sustainable growth of the country and Latin America as a whole.
