The negotiations for a double taxation agreement were also discussed at the meeting held on Friday.
Likewise, Minister Contreras met with Moody's global director for Sovereign Risk, Marie Diron, with whom he discussed Peru's sectoral and regional economic reactivation plan and the country's commitment to fiscal consolidation.
Furthermore, the government official held a working meeting with investors, to whom he explained the guidelines of the Peruvian economic policy and the commitment to maintain a fiscally responsible policy.
Representatives of ABRDN PLC, Amundi, Ashmore Investment Management, Aviva Investors, BlueBay Asset Management, Eaton Vance Corporation, Mesarete Capital LLP, PGIM, and Pictet Asset Management also participated in the meeting.
“The agenda in London made it possible to present the benefits offered by the country and the macroeconomic strengths that Peru maintains, despite the social and political upheaval that has been experienced over recent days. We let investors from Europe and other latitudes know that Peruvian economy management remains technical and responsible," Contreras affirmed.
The Economy and Finance Ministry head expressed confidence that Peru will once again become the economic miracle in Latin America.
"To do so, we are going to work intensively on closing social gaps. We have the fiscal space to advance those goals," he asserted.

Today's meetings took place one day after having participated in the Peru Economic and Investment Outlook 2023 forum, where the Economy and Finance Minister was in charge of the main presentation before international investors.
