The
Peruvian Government has terminated the appointment of Lieutenant General Javier Santos Gallardo Mendoza as General Commander of the National Police, and has retired him.
The document thanks Gallardo for the services rendered to the National Police and the nation.
Last night, Mr. Castillo announced that he has accepted the resignation of
Interior Minister Avelino Guillen and terminated the appointment of Javier Santos Gallardo Mendoza as General Commander of the National Police.
In a post on Twitter, the Head of State thanked Guillen for the services rendered to the nation.
