Dubai's Burj Khalifa, the tallest skyscraper in the world, lit up with the colors of the Peruvian national flag on Sunday to mark the
South American country's 198th Independence anniversary.
The
Andean nation's flag was projected in two time slots. The first show took place at 9:10 PM and the second at 9:35 PM (local time).
The Peruvian colors illuminated the 828-meter building, which is an architectural point of reference for tourists and residents of the United Arab Emirates as well as for people around the world.
Since its inauguration in 2010, the Burj Khalifa has set more than 10 world records for its distinctive features.
With a roof height (excluding the antenna) of 828 meters, the building has been the tallest structure in the world since its completion in 2009.
