Peru: Executive Branch appoints Deputy Ministers of Economy and Finance

The Executive Branch appointed new Deputy Ministers of Economy and Finance, positions considered posts of trust within the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF).

Through Supreme Resolution No. 012-2026-EF, published in the Official Gazette El Peruano on Wednesday, Eloy Duran Cervantes was appointed Deputy Minister of Economy, a position that had been vacant.

Likewise, through Supreme Resolution No. 013-2026-EF, Jose Armando Calderon Valenzuela was appointed Deputy Minister of Finance, replacing Rodolfo Acuña Namihas, who now serves as head of the MEF.

Both Supreme Resolutions are countersigned by the President of the Republic, Jose Maria Balcazar Zelada, and the Economy and Finance Minister Rodolfo Acuña Namihas.
