The donation, valued at US$327,000, will be used as field posts by the Armed Forces during emergency declarations in Lima and Callao to support the Peruvian National Police's actions, enabling an immediate response for security and surveillance operations.
"This donation also included specialized training for designated personnel of the armed institutions, provided by technicians from the manufacturing company, ensuring the efficient use of the equipment," the government agency indicated.
Through Ministerial Resolution No. 01870–2025, the Ministry of Defense formally accepted the donation and stipulated that the goods be used exclusively for actions related to public security.
The handover ceremony took place at the Army General Headquarters in Lima's San Borja district. It included the participation of the Peruvian Army, Navy, and Air Force.
The Army coordinated the logistics to facilitate the training, including the transportation of tents, personnel access control, and the necessary operational support.
"With this action, the Ministry of Defense reaffirms the strengthening of bilateral cooperation with the United States of America and the Armed Forces' commitment to the security and well-being of the population," the entity stated.
