President of the Republic of Peru, Jose Jeri today enacted the law authorizing the gradual incorporation of employees of the National Water Authority (ANA), hired under Legislative Decree 1057 (CAS), into the 728 labor regime.
The ceremony was held with the participation of the workers and representatives of the union of said entity, in the Grand Dining Room of the Government Palace.
The enacted legal measure aims to strengthen job security and working conditions for ANA personnel.
In addition to recognizing the experience and merit of the staff, it ensures an orderly, transparent, and financially responsible process, in accordance with current regulations and the principles of efficiency in public administration.
The law establishes that the incorporation will be progressive, voluntary, and through an internal merit-based competition, over a period of five consecutive years, allowing the annual entry of up to 20% of employees who meet the requirements.
It also specifies that the implementation of the process will be financed primarily with the ANA's institutional budget, without requiring additional resources from the Public Treasury.
Additionally, budget modifications are authorized, in accordance with current regulations, when higher revenues are projected or when resources are authorized by the Ministry of Economy and Finance and the Ministry of Agrarian Development and Irrigation.
