Peru: Energy and Mines Ministry appoints Deputy Ministers for Hydrocarbons and Electricity

The Ministry of Energy and Mines (Minem) on Thursday appointed the Deputy Ministers of Hydrocarbons and Electricity under its Organization and Functions Law, as both positions were vacant.

Through Supreme Resolution No. 011-2026-EM, Marco Eric Agama Rodriguez was appointed Deputy Minister of Hydrocarbons at the Ministry of Energy and Mines, a position of trust.

The Deputy Minister of Hydrocarbons formulates, coordinates, implements, and oversees sustainable development policy in the hydrocarbons sector, in accordance with the respective national policy.

Deputy Minister of Electricity

Through Supreme Resolution No. 013-2026-EM, Milko Omar Zacarias Vega was appointed Deputy Minister of Electricity at the Ministry of Energy and Mines, a position of trust.

Previously, the resignation submitted by Nilo Ruben Pereira Torres from the post of Deputy Minister of Electricity at the Ministry of Energy and Mines was accepted.

He was thanked for the services rendered to the nation.

The Deputy Minister of Electricity formulates, coordinates, implements, and oversees sustainable development policy in the electricity sector, in accordance with the respective national policy.
