Peru: President Jeri reviews preventive measures ahead of rainy season

The President of the Republic, Jose Jeri, met on Thursday with Environment Minister Miguel Espichan and National Meteorology and Hydrology Service (Senamhi) Executive President Romina Caminada to review preventive measures in before the rainy season.

The meeting's purpose was to prevent rainfall from causing negative impacts in at-risk areas, the Presidential Office reported on social media. 

The Head of State listened to explanations from Senamhi experts regarding climate monitoring of the El Niño phenomenon, likelihood of rainfall in the summer of 2026, and sea temperature forecast.
