To reaffirm its commitment to the proper organization of the 20th Pan American Games and the 8th Parapan American Games Lima 2027, the Peruvian Government met with the Organizing Committee head and Peruvian Sports Institute (IPD) Chairman Sergio Ludeña, as well as Panam Sports President Neven Ilic and Americas Paralympic Committee Chairman Julio Cesar Avila.
Authorities reviewed progress, coordinated actions to ensure efficient organization, and verified compliance with the required standards for the benefit of the thousands of athletes and para-athletes who will participate in the competitions.
Key aspects were also identified to establish strategic guidelines for the successful implementation of Lima 2027.
The session was chaired by Presidential Office Secretary General Alonso Tenorio, representing President Jose Maria Balcazar. It was also attended by Education Minister Maria Esther Cuadros.
The event took place at the Government Palace in Lima.
These meetings aim to strengthen the Lima 2027 Organizing Committee and reaffirm Peru's position as a host of major international sporting events.
