The
President of the Republic Pedro Castillo begins today a trip to Mexico and the United States. It seeks to boost the coordinated fight against the COVID-19 pandemic in the multilateral sphere and the economic reactivation that will reduce social gaps in our country.
On his first overseas trip —scheduled for September 17-22— President Castillo will be accompanied by a delegation of four State ministers: Oscar Maurtua (Foreign Affairs), Pedro Francke (Economy and Finance), Roberto Sanchez (Foreign Trade and Tourism), and Hernando Cevallos (Health).
These government officials are due to attend the main bilateral meetings and multilateral events in which the Peruvian Head of State will participate.

The VI Summit of Heads of State and Government of the
Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC) —to be held in Mexico City on September 18— will be the first international event where President Castillo will be present. He will be welcomed by his Mexican counterpart Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador.
