Peruvian taekwondist Marcela Castillo (7.530) secured silver for the hosts at the
Lima 2019 Pan American Games in the women's individual Poomsae competition.
Mexican Paula Fregoso finished in pole position recording 7.660.
U.S. taekwondist Karyn Real claimed bronze with 7.510.
Claudia Cardenas (Ecuador) ranked in fourth place with 7.210, followed by Puerto Rico's Arelis Medina (5th) with 7.210, Canada's Valerie Ho (6th) with 7.010, and Guatemala's Maria Eufragio (7th) with 6.760.
The event took place at the Regional Sports Village of Callao.
It must be noted that both Marcela Castillo and her compatriot
Hugo Del Castillo (silver medalist) have shown a great performance at their respective taekwondo Poomsae competitions.
