Peruvian authorities and average citizens participated in the National Earthquake and Tsunami Drill held in various parts of the Andean country on Wednesday morning.
The event was designed for citizens to be prepared in case of emergency caused by an 8-magnitude quake, followed by tsunami.
The event kicked off at 10:00 AM (local time).

Peruvian President Pedro Pablo Kuczynski led preventive actions during the national earthquake
drill organized by the National Civil Defense Institute (Indeci).
The Head of State evacuated Lima's Government Palace premises along with State Ministers who were holding a Council of Ministers session at the time.
