Peruvian President Pedro Pablo Kuczynski on Tuesday reiterated his commitment to keep working for a united, prosperous country, as well as to put an end to citizen insecurity.
Speaking during the launch of rehabilitation works for Tocache-Juanjui Highway, the Head of State stressed the need to build a healthy nation with strong children, good schools and homes with basic services.
Similarly, he vowed to put an end to citizen insecurity, terrorism and "all hardships facing this part of Peru in recent decades."
"We want a united and prosperous Peru; that's why we are here," the President affirmed.
Regarding investment for the venture —valued at S/411 million (about US$125.96 million)— Mr. Kuczynski noted the government managed to save S/45 million (about US$13.79 million).
Said resources will be allocated for implementing drinking water services at schools.
"We are working across Peru. There are plenty of obstacles, but we must not be afraid. We must keep moving forward," he pointed out.
Joining the statesman were Ministers Elsa Galarza (Environment), Cayetana Aljovin (Development and Social Inclusion) and Martin Vizcarra (Transport and Communications).
