Ecuadorian plane carrying aid arrives in Peru

The Government of Ecuador has sent an airplane carrying humanitarian aid for victims of heavy rains and flooding in Peru, Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported.

On board the aircraft was Undersecretary for Information Management and Risk Analysis of Ecuador Ricardo Peñaherrera, who was welcomed by Peru’s Secretary General of Foreign Affairs Eric Anderson.

This is the first airplane to arrive for helping victims in Peru.

The Government of Ecuador expressed its solidarity on Saturday offering its support to deal with severe damages of heavy rains and landslides.

Ecuador expressed “its deep sympathy and solidarity with the Government and people of Peru in light of the damage observed in the Peruvian capital and northern regions,” reads a release by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Human Mobility of Ecuador.
