Peru's Congress plenary session on Thursday passed the request to question Transport and Communications Minister Martin Vizcarra.

Thus, Vizcarra must respond 82 questions concerning the signing of the addendum to Cusco-based Chinchero International Airport's concession contract.

Said motion was put to vote by Congress Chairwoman Luz Salgado following a debate. Lawmakers passed it with 88 votes in favor, 2 against and 19 abstentions.

The questioning is set to take place on March 16 at Lima Parliament headquarters.

The mentioned interpellation motion was submitted by legislator Yonhy Lescano (Accion Popular) in light of measures adopted by the Executive Power regarding the said airport-project and its addendum's signing with concessionaire Kuntur Wasi.

According to the document, said addendum generates doubts about its suitability.
