UNICEF, Russia sign agreement to support Peru

Representatives from UNICEF and Russia gathered at Peru's Foreign Affairs Ministry headquarters with the purpose of signing a cooperation agreement to support the Inca country.

The document is titled "Contribution Agreement between the Russian Federation's Foreign Affairs Ministry and the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) to support Peru."

Through this instrument, the Russian Government agreed to donate US$400,000 to UNICEF. 

Said amount will be invested in improving water access and sanitation services for the benefit of Peruvian minors, within the framework of the Peru-UNICEF Programme of Cooperation.

Such document was inked by Russian Ambassador to Peru Andrei Guskov and UNICEF Representative in Peru Maria Luisa Fornara.

It must be noted the signing ceremony also saw the presence of Peru's Foreign Ministry Economic Affairs Director-General Luis Quesada.
