State ministers celebrate Peru's return to World Cup

Prime Minister Mercedes Araoz, State ministers and lawmakers celebrated Peru's qualification for Russia 2018 expressing words of gratitude and congratulatory remarks over last night's historic match against New Zealand.

"God, what a joy! After 36 years, the glory," the Cabinet's chief posted on Twitter.


On the other hand, Energy and Mines Minister Cayetana Aljovin praised team members for the priceless triumph.


For his part, Culture Minister Salvador del Solar shared a picture of Jefferson Farfan with the phrase: "The shout from the entire nation."


"Historic day! Go Peru!" reads the message by Peru's Transport and Communications Minister Bruno Giuffra. 


Also, Women and Vulnerable Populations Minister Ana Maria Choquehuanca stressed the team's determination to beat New Zealand.


According to Idel Vexler, head of the Education portfolio, the national team taught children a lesson in perseverance and teamwork.


Finally, Development and Social Inclusion Minister Fiorella Molinelli exclaimed: "We reached the World Cup!"
