Peruvian products and gastronomy have been drawing the attention of several countries worldwide; therefore, the Inca country's Foreign and Tourism Ministry (Mincetur) is leading various activities to strengthen its culinary dominion around the globe.
Within this framework, Peru's Trade Office in Panama (Ocex Panama) organized a gastronomic event that brought together more than 4,000 people, who enjoyed diverse dishes prepared by 10 of the most outstanding Peruvian restaurants based in the Central American country.

The chosen venue was the Radisson Decapolis Hotel in Panama City.
Attendees tasted
Ceviche, Seco de Res a la Norteña (Northern-style dried beef),
Pollo a la Brasa (Peruvian rotisserie-styled Chicken), Causa (potato dish layered with any number of fillings), Tamal de Chicharron (Pork Tamal), among other stews and desserts, as well as our flagship drink
pisco.
The event also featured traditional dances and Peruvian Creole music.
Thus, this activity encouraged the promotion of our products for the benefit of Peruvian exporters and Panamanian importers. In the same way, tourism agencies offered various tour packages for the coming gastronomic fair:
Mistura 2017.
Gastronomic Association
Thanks to efforts undertaken by Ocex Panama, the Peruvian Gastronomic Association of Panama was created on the occasion.
The association —which brings together Panamanian restaurants and Peruvian product importers— will continue to organize activities that contribute to the proper positioning of national gastronomy, essentially of Peru's
Superfoods, products and brands.
