19:05 | Lima, Nov. 13.

Hundreds of Peruvian fans on Sunday started to redeem tickets they had previously bought online for the final Peru-New Zealand FIFA World Cup intercontinental playoff leg taking place in Lima this week.

It must be noted online selling platform Teleticket had made a raffle in order to pick winners of such passes to the coming mega event.

Previously, supporters had to sign up on the official website and then wait for results. Only those selected had the chance to buy tickets.

The decision was made to avoid the online queues, which resulted in many complaints prior to Peru's World Cup Qualifier against Colombia last October.

Fans gathered in large groups at the distribution points set up at Lima's National Stadium for this occasion.

The final match

As is known, Peru and New Zealand saw a 0-0 draw in Wellington last Saturday.

In this sense, the decisive match will take place at Lima's National Stadium on November 15.

The clash will decide if Peruvians return to a World Cup after 35 years.
