Peruvian Ambassador presents credentials to Thai King

Peruvian Ambassador Fernando Julio Antonio Quiros Campos presented credential letters to Thailand's King Maha Vajiralongkorn, the Andean country's Foreign Affairs Ministry reported.

Such credentials recognized the appointment of Quiros as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Peru to the Kingdom of Thailand.

The ceremony took place at Dusit Palace in Bangkok on November 27.

During the event, the diplomat expressed President Pedro Pablo Kuczynski's willingness to continue strengthening the "strategic partners" status both countries enjoy.

Likewise, Quiros highlighted the Peruvian Government's desire to prioritize economic, trade and cooperation relations by promoting investment, tourism and sports in both countries.  

The ceremony also saw the presence of Ambassadors of Chile, Mauritius, Sudan, Myanmar, Belarus and Azerbaijan, who presented their corresponding credential letters to the Thai monarch.
