Public investment execution amounted to S/1.837 billion (about US$563.32 million) in February 2018, thus recording a nominal growth of 55.7% and showing a positive trend, Peru's Economy and Finance Ministry (MEF) reported Thursday.
According to MEF,
public investment continued to expand in February 2018 compared to the same month in 2016 (S/2.086 billion; about US$639.68 million).
Within this context, public investment execution totaled S/2.414 billion (about US$740.26 million) in Jan-Feb 2018, up by 44.9% from the same period in 2017 (S/1.666 billion; about US$510.89 million).

public investment execution increased to S/31.608 billion (about US$ 9.693 billion) in 2014, but then decreased to S/30.609 billion (about US$9.386 billion) in 2015, and to S/27.205 billion (about US$8.343 billion) in 2016.
Likewise, MEF has forecast public investment growth of 17.5% (2018), 4% (2019), 4% (2020), and 3.5% (2021).
