President Martin Vizcarra on Monday returned to his hometown Moquegua —in southern Peru— to meet with regional and local authorities, as well as with students and civil society representatives.
Joined by Ministers Fabiola Muñoz (Environment), Silvia Pessah (Health), and Daniel Alfaro (Education), the Head of State is slated to take part in various activities.
Upon arrival,
Vizcarra attended a recognition ceremony officiated by Mariscal Nieto Province Mayor Hugo Quispe Mamani.
Later, he headed to Universidad Nacional de Moquegua —a public university located in the abovementioned city— to open the Fourth International Southern Mining Congress (Comasurim).
