Peruvian President Pedro Pablo Kuczynski reaffirmed his Government's support for female police officers, and noted their work to enhance national security.

Remarks were made during a graduation ceremony at San Bartolo Female Police Academy, where he was joined by Interior Minister Carlos Basombrio.

According to the Head of State, the event constitutes a landmark in promoting women's participation into the country's development.

"We are working to recruit more female officers, train them, and set a new work ethic in the National Police force," he expressed.

The Peruvian leader said he is aware of the tough conditions women in law enforcement have to face.

Therefore, he reiterated the Executive's strong commitment to deploying its resources and logistics in support of this police department.
