President Martin Vizcarra on Tuesday reaffirmed his commitment to continuing working hand-in-hand with micro and small-sized enterprises (MSEs) in order to move forward.
In this sense, the leader pointed out Peru currently hosts 1.7 million companies, which are the
"strength, engine, and enthusiasm" of the Inca nation.
According to the Head of State, this sector is relevant not only because it accounts for 24% of the national economy, but also because 85% of
employees work at this type of enterprises.
"It is an important pillar for the labor supply we need in the country," the statesman remarked.
"We will take the necessary measures and actions to address the enthusiasm, entrepreneurship, and innovation capacity they have," he added.
Moreover, President Vizcarra noted the only way to achieve progress and
development in Peru is by joining efforts.
At this event, the 15 best Peruvian
MSEs were recognized for their entrepreneurship, productivity, and
job creation skills, as well as their contribution to the Inca country's development and competitiveness.
The ceremony also featured Production Minister Raul Perez-Reyes.
