Peruvian President Pedro Pablo Kuczynski and First Lady Nancy Lange were welcomed by both Chinese President Xi Jinping and First Lady Peng Liyuan at Beijing's Great Hall of the People on Tuesday.
Before the meeting was started, the leaders reviewed the Asian country's official Honor Guard.
Earlier this morning, the Head of State was welcomed by National People’s Congress Chairman Zhang Dejiang.
As is known, Mr. Kuczynski arrived in the Asian Giant on Monday at 3.21 PM (local time).
The official entourage is composed of Ministers Martin Vizcarra (Transport and Communications), Ricardo Luna (Foreign Affairs), Gonzalo Tamayo (Energy and Mines) and Eduardo Ferreyros (Foreign Trade and Tourism).
The delegation also includes a group of Peruvian entrepreneurs, who will hold meetings with their Chinese counterparts to analyze cooperation possibilities.
The visit is aimed at strengthening economic and investment ties with the world's second largest economy.
