Peru President: Gov't to fight anemia and malnutrition

President Martin Vizcarra affirmed one of his administration's main objectives is to combat anemia and child malnutrition in the Inca country.

In this sense, the Head of State announced he will participate in a TV show called "Cocina con Causa" (Cook with a purpose).

This program promotes the consumption of nutrient-rich foods among minors.

Through its social programs, the Development and Social Inclusion Ministry (Midis) will join the commitment to fight anemia in the Andean country.

For its part, the Education Ministry (Minedu) informed it promotes healthy eating habits, as well as nutritious school lunch ideas. 

As is known, Qali Warma program delivers breakfast and lunch to Peruvian students from underprivileged areas, especially those residing in native communities.

Finally, the Agriculture Ministry (Minagri) recalled the nation offers a wide range of quality and nutritious foods thanks to the daily efforts undertaken by Peruvian farmers.
