Peruvian President Pedro Pablo Kuczynski on Thursday greeted all teachers contributing to children's development and stressed his administration makes major efforts to modernize the country's education system.

In this sense, the Head of State highlighted efforts are being made to enhance public school teachers' working conditions.

"I express my admiration for teachers. It is not a well-paid [but] arduous task. We have improved considerably over recent years. However, a lot remains to be done […]," he affirmed.

According to the statesman, investing in better conditions for both, educators and students, is paramount.

"We have to make a massive effort in terms of logistics, so the network of 55,000 public schools and the 7 million pupils can be part of a modern Peru," the top official concluded.
