Peru's Prime Minister Mercedes Araoz met with Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos in Davos, within the framework of the World Economic Forum's 48th Annual Meeting running until January 26.
During the meeting, the Colombian leader confirmed his participation at the 8th
Summit of the Americas on April 13-14 in the Peruvian capital city.
"It was an honor to meet with President Juan Manuel Santos, who confirmed his attendance at the 8th Summit of the Americas scheduled for April 13 and 14 in Lima," she posted on Twitter.
Also, they discussed the strengthening of the bilateral cooperation between both countries —through the
Pacific Alliance— and their joint agenda to protect democracy in Latin America.
This is the first time said event will be —exclusively— led by women as the organization will provide various formulas to reduce
gender gaps in the socio-economic field.
