Prime Minister Cesar Villanueva expressed his support to cabinet members and ruled out further changes before July 28, Peru's Independence Day.
"There will be no changes (in the cabinet). What I said is there will be (merely) changes in the political strategy we are following in some sectors (…)," he pointed out.
"I back all cabinet members; we are not only united but also committed to a
cabinet that is focused on the country," he added.
Likewise, Villanueva highlighted the efforts undertaken by ministers in 11 Peruvian regions declared under state of emergency due to frost and cold spells.
"We must take our hats off to them (ministers), who accepted to visit areas at heights of over 4,000 meters in order to
help citizens affected by low temperatures. How can we not be proud of this cabinet?" Villanueva expressed.
Furthermore, he stated the cabinet joins efforts with strategic sectors to
draw investments into the Inca country.
Villanueva went on to say he had shaped a cabinet made up of highly-qualified professionals in their corresponding areas.
