Under Alpaca del Peru (Peru's Alpaca) brand, the first multi-brand alpaca-fiber clothing and accessories store was inaugurated in Beijing, Peru's Exports and Tourism Promotion Board (PromPeru) informed.
The start of operations was supported by Peru's Foreign Trade and Tourism Ministry through its Trade Office in said city (OCEX Beijing) and PromPeru.
It must be noted this initiative is included in the internationalization strategy implemented by the sector with a view to 2018.
As is known, Foreign Trade and Tourism Minister Eduardo Ferreyros —last November— presided over the launch ceremony of this shop.
Likewise, he met with World Link and Wangfujing Commercial Center executives in order to establish working guidelines for the cooperation between both
Chinese entities.
Previously, World Link was granted authorization to use the Alpaca del Peru brand.
Alpaca Peru is a sectoral brand developed by PromPeru in coordination with the private sector, with the aim of positioning these flagship products at the international level.
The event saw the presence of Peruvian Ambassador to China Juan Carlos Capuñay and representatives of 20 Chinese shopping centers, importing companies, and renowned designers, among others.
