Mining products made up 65.6% of Peru's total exports value in the January-October 2017 period, according to statistics released by Central Reserve Bank of Peru (BCR).
Of this total, 60.3% were metallic mining sales overseas (mainly
copper, gold, and
zinc).
It must be noted copper made up over 50% of total metallic mining exports value.
Likewise, the value of metallic mining sales abroad grew 12% last October and 25% in January-October 2017, compared to corresponding periods in 2016.
