Peru: Kuczynski meets with foreign Presidents

Peruvian President-elect Pedro Pablo Kuczynski held audiences with Heads of State Horacio Cartes (Paraguay), Mauricio Macri (Argentina) and King Emeritus Juan Carlos I (Spain) at his Lima home on Wednesday.

Following visits, leaders addressed reporters waiting outside PPK's home.

Paraguay

Cartes saluted Peruanos Por el Kambio leader over his electoral triumph.

“We are two great nations. Hopefully, God will give our peoples the chance to remain united […],” the Paraguayan leader pointed out.

On the other hand, Kuczynski praised efforts by Cartes to achieve economic growth and development.

King Emeritus

Kuczynski was also saluted by Spain’s King Emeritus Juan Carlos I. 

The monarch remembered his first Lima visit that dates back to 1958.

The President-elect noted he already knew Sir Juan Carlos I and expressed satisfaction over his visit.

Argentina

Mauricio Macri also arrived at Kuczynski’s residence, where he highlighted relations between both nations.

"We hope to strengthen Peru-Argentina ties," he added.

The meeting was deemed as interesting by the visiting Head of State.
