The Executive Power appointed Javier Ramirez Guillen and Gonzalo Nicolas Rios Polastri as new General Commanders of the Peruvian Air Force (FAP) and Navy, respectively.
According to Supreme Resolution No. 509-2016-DE published in El Peruano official gazette, FAP Lieutenant General Ramirez Guillen's appointment comes into force on December 26.
Likewise, Navy Vice Admiral Rios Polastri's appointment comes into force on December 30 in accordance with Supreme Resolution No. 511-2016-DE published in the mentioned newspaper.
Ramirez Guillen and Rios Polastri will replace FAP Lieutenant General Dante Antonio Arevalo Abate and Navy Admiral Luis Enrique Deville Del Campo, respectively.
In both cases, the Government thanked them for services rendered to the nation.
Documents were signed by President Pedro Pablo Kuczynski and Defense Minister Jorge Nieto Montesinos.
