Expo Amazonica 2017 will showcase various value chains and tourist activities linked to Peru's northern San Martin region, its Governor Victor Noriega Reategui affirmed.

The event will be held in rainforest cities of Moyobamba and Tarapoto on August 10-13.

Likewise, the governor noted the four-day fair is expected to draw around S/40 million (around US$12.26 million) in revenue.

In addition, he projected the region may welcome 40,000 visitors on the occasion. 

Furthermore, Foreign Trade and Tourism Minister (Mincetur) Eduardo Ferreyros underlined the exhibition will see the presence of businessmen from over 16 countries.

Expo Amazonica 2017 is organized by San Martin Regional Government in partnership with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and Peru's State-run institutions.
