The recent awarding of two electric transmission lines to a Colombian company is proof of Peru's attractiveness for foreign investment, Energy and Mines Minister Cayetana Aljovin affirmed Monday.
Earlier today,
ISA Group company Interconexion Electrica was awarded two 500kv transmission lines stretching over Lima, Ancash, Huancavelica, Junin,
Pasco and Huanuco regions.
"We are glad [about the awarding]; it shows how Peru continues to attract private
investment, since it is a country that respects its agreements and has sound
macroeconomic foundations," Minister Aljovin underlined.
The government official explained the Colombian firm was selected out of five bidders, all of which submitted "their documentation in order and complied with the requirements."
The signing of the contract is expected to take place in two months; that is, before the end of 2017.
