Peruvian coffee production amounted to 77,197 tons in June 2017, up by 13.6% from the same month last year, due to favorable climate conditions, National Institute of Statistics and Informatics (INEI) reported.

According to INEI head Anibal Sanchez, the result was underpinned by greater production registered in regions: Junin (+62.7%), Cajamarca (+3.8%) and Amazonas (+1.3%). Together, they accounted for 52.6% of the total national output.
