To celebrate the 45th anniversary of the Peru-China diplomatic relation, the Peruvian Embassy in Beijing recently held a ceremony to release a commemorative book produced on the occasion.

The publication was prepared by the Inca country's Foreign Affairs Ministry in collaboration with the Peruvian diplomatic mission in the Asian Giant.

Similarly, Southwest University of Science and Technology's (SWUST) Institute of Latin American and Caribbean Studies participated in the production of the book on behalf of China.

The presentation ceremony took place at China's Western Returned Scholar Association (Chinese Overseas-Educated Scholar Association) premises in the presence of Chinese Foreign Affairs Ministry officials, diplomatic corps, the media and general public.

The event proved yet another occasion to highlight the excellent diplomatic relations between both nations, reflected on the production of a title that further consolidates long-standing friendship ties.

The book is divided in four sections: history-culture, politics, economy and a future vision, Peruvian Ambassador to Beijing Juan Carlos Capuñay indicated.

This in order to provide an outlook for bilateral ties while featuring the main common interests and topics shared by both peoples.

Ambassador Capuñay also stressed Peru is the only Latin American country bound to the Asian economy through its four main foreign affairs instruments: FTA, Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, Strategic Dialogue Mechanism and Peru-China Joint Action Plan for 2016-2021

Lastly, the envoy underlined the joint work between both nations to produce the commemorative publication is proof that both countries have gone beyond political and economic ties to developed friendship ties.
