Peruvian Ambassador hands over credentials in Armenia

Peruvian Ambassador Luis Benjamin Chimoy Arteaga presented his credentials to Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan, during a special ceremony held at the Presidential Palace in Yerevan on May 12.

Such credentials recognize the appointment of Chimoy as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Peru to the Eurasian country. 

After extending President Pedro Pablo Kuczynski's greetings to the Armenian leader, the Inca official expressed his government's willingness to boost bilateral relations.

Likewise, Mr. Sargsyan highlighted the strong and friendly ties existing with the Andean country.

In this sense, he stressed this year will mark the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Armenia and Peru.

As is known, Mr. Chimoy also serves as Ambassador to Russia and is based in Moscow.
