Peruvian films Madeinusa and Undertow were listed among the top ten movies produced in Latin America over the last decade.

According to an online poll conducted by ElLatino.com, the Peruvian films share the honor with Chile's Machuca (2004), Ecuador's Crónicas (2004), Uruguay's El baño del Papa (2007), and Argentina's El secreto de sus ojos, which won the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film last year.

The list also includes Mexico's Amores perros (2000), Brazil's Ciudad de Dios (2002), Colombia's Paraíso Travel (2008) and Diarios de motocicleta (2004), which earned the Academy Award for Best Original Song.

Written and directed by Claudia Llosa, Madeinusa (2005) won fourteen awards at international film festivals, including Sundance, Rotterdam, Lima, Santiago de Chile, Malaga and San Sebastian.

Co-produced with Colombia, Undertow or Contracorriente (2009) was directed by Javier Fuentes-Leon and received six audience awards at film festivals such as Chicago, Montreal and Sundance.
