A Google team —from the United States and Brazil— arrived in Peru to share their knowledge and experiences with students from Laboratoria, a social-driven enterprise that trains women in technology matters.

These were two intense and fruitful weeks for both, students and "Googlers," who took a closer look at Peruvian talent for web development activities.

Laboratoria's alliance with Google began in 2014 and was strengthened earlier in 2017 when Google.org donated the start-up US$750,000. The Internet Giant also committed to provide advice through its most prominent professionals.

Laboratoria co-founder Herman Marin and CEO Mariana Costa were interviewed by Andina news agency on the matter.

"Talent came from Google to reinforce two aspects: first, to improve the experience of the class [...]. The curriculum topics have been redefined and dynamics, to strengthen our students' socio-emotional skills, have been included," Marin expressed.

"Google experts focused on improving the labor insertion process, which is very important for us because we need to be more efficient in the way we connect with the industry," he added.

The possibility of having Laboratoria talent at Google is one of the challenges of this endeavor, which is changing the lives of many Peruvians.
